Stony Brook Yacht Club New Member Information and Resources             

Located on the historic North Shore of Long Island and incorporated in 1913, the Stony Brook Yacht Club has been a full service club since 1930.  Situated on over five sheltered acres in Stony Brook Harbor, the club facilities include a beautiful clubhouse, 150 slip marina, fuel dock, bathhouse, and beach. 

 

If you are interested in boating, fishing, socializing, and enjoy being around the water, Stony Brook Yacht Club has a lot to offer. Perhaps you just to want a beautiful and tranquil location with magnificent views and sunsets every evening, the Stony Brook Yacht Club should be of interest to you.

The Lagoon is fully equipped with floating docks, electricity, water and security.  Our “bouncer” program offers the ability for a new member to have the use of a boat slip while waiting for an assigned slip to become available.

The Restaurant and bar facilities are open daily throughout the year for members. Catering is available for large and small events - Corporate meeting and conference space is also available.

​

The Club house  has been renovated and equipped with a modernize full service kitchen, dining room and bar, along with our cozy “Slate Room” and westerly porch offering spectacular views of the harbor, nature and fantastic sunsets. 

 

There are two levels of membership:

  1. Social Membership includes use of facility for all club functions, restaurant and bar. 

  2. Full Membership includes use of facility for all club functions, restaurant, bar, marina, eligibility for a boat slip, attend/vote at all membership meetings,  eligible for “bouncing” to utilize temporarily open slips, use of the Kayak storage rack, and right to run for elected board positions.

  2. Print the application, and sign the Applicant Section​.

  3. Share the application with your sponsors, so they may fill in the Sponsor and Co-Sponsor sections.

  4. Return the completed membership application to the SBYC Office or email it to membership@stonybrookyachtclub.org
